applicants may note that Indian High Commission Ottawa, Consulate General
Toronto & Consulate General Vancouver accept applications only from
applicants residing in their respective jurisdictions. Postal applications must
be addressed to VFS Centers of respective jurisdiction only. Applicants are
advised to abide by the jurisdiction to avoid delay and inconvenience.
How
to apply
Applicants
can submit their application to VFS in the following ways:
1.
In person
Applicant can lodge their visa application with VFS in person at our India Visa
and Consular Services centre. To do so Applicants are requested to complete the
following steps:
o Fill the appropriate Visa application form
o Walk-in to our Indian Visa and consular service
centres between 0800 - 1430 hrs (Monday to Saturday)
For
family applications the Head of the family is requested to come to submit the
applications on behalf of the entire family
2.
Postal Applications:
If you wish to submit your application by post , you can do so by
sending it to the following application centres depending on your Jurisdiction.

Applicants
who wish to send their documents by post are requested to follow the following
steps:
Please note VFS only accepts
Canada
Express post envelopes.
1. Fill the Appropriate visa application form
2. Attach a Demand draft or Postal Order
favouring VF Services (
Canada
) Inc. To know the exact fees & the service
charge (Kindly prepare one draft which includes the visa fees as well as
the service fees of 20.21 (Inclusive of taxes)) to know more about the postal
draft please click here
3. Prepare the documents as per the checklist. And kindly fill
the checklist and attach it to the form.
Prepare an envelope with all the supporting documents, visa application form,
checklist and the passport and address the same to the Indian Consular Services
- centre
Vancouver
.
4. Applicants living in Alberta/Yukon/Northwest territories
and
Saskatchewan
would need to send their applications through a National Express Canada Post
Envelope,
To receive your processed application back;
You must enclose only a Registered
Canada
Express post prepaid large envelope [self addressed] as a return envelope. Each
passport should have one return envelope.
Please
Note:
Ø
Each application should have an individual return envolpe. For example: if we
you are sending 2 applications then 2 prepaid envelope should be enclosed with
your application.
Ø
In case you are unable to send a prepaid envelope along with your postal
application you may purchase the same at VFS. To do so you need to
include CAD 10 for regional and
CAD 15 for a National Express post envelope. You need to
include the same in the visa fee draft.
Ø
Postal applications which are not accompanied by a prepaid return envelope will
be held at the centre.
Ø
Please retain with you the Tracking Number of the self addressed pre paid
envelope.
Ø
All return envelopes must have the applicants name clearly written on it even
if it sent to us through a travel agent.
In
case your application is incomplete and is not as per the attached checklist
duly signed by you, your application will be returned or will be kept on hold
and will not be processed till such time till all the documents are received
and the form is complete and correct visa fees is paid.
Please note that VFS does not accept cash for postal applications, hence kindly
do not include the same in the envelope.
